Where do I start with a coach?

 

Most coaches begin with a free introductory session to help you understand what coaching can do for you, help you figure out if coaching is right for you at this time, and see if the two of you are a good match for an effective coach/client relationship. 

 

Once we’ve agreed to work together, we start off with an initial intake session that becomes the basis for our work together and, therefore, lasts longer than a regular coaching session.  Its purpose is to clarify a number of things, like what your expectations are for coaching, what your goals and needs are, and establishing how we will work together.  We would also discuss confidentiality, what each party is accountable for, whether there are any specific boundaries, when to schedule our sessions, etc.

 

During this meeting, we will also design a list of goals and an agreed-upon game plan for reaching your goals.
